3. Missing profile test

The four Passport Colorchecker images below were created to test how a system renders AdobeRGB and sRGB images with and without colour profile tags and embedded profiles. The images only use colours that lie within the smaller sRGB colour space. Therefore images 1, 2 and 3 should all look the same when correctly rendered, and image 4 will look duller (untagged AdobeRGB data without an embedded profile should be rendered as sRGB and so will look duller).

If images 1 and 3 look different the web-browser is not colour managed.

If image 2 looks brighter than images 1 and 3, when using a wide-gamut display, it is likely that the browser is incorrectly assigning the display's wide-gamut profile to image data which has no profile. Firefox 77.0.1 does this. But this can be fixed (in later versions only?) by setting gfx.color_management.mode to 1.
